You have never experienced the world race untill you experience the world race….
hours and hours of travelling standing in line waiting to cross the boarder with 38 other people, more waiting and more travelling only to get to a place and then travel more.. and then do it all over again.
Riding in a 11 passanger van with 20 people crammed in along with 6 people who have packs the size of and elephant, and coffee tables and baskets tied outside the back of a van. No AC with the sun beaming on my flesh. people coming up to the window trying to sell you things. its getting dark we have no idea if we are going in the right way. the city packed with vehicles moving inche by inch.. top it off im sitting with one but cheek on one seat and the other cheek on the other seat. making out way out into the jungle…
by this point im like oay bring it on whats next………
we FINALLY get to the pastors house PTL.
setting up home for the month, mosquito nets and all.. pull out the sleeping pads… got some electricity going a nice fan blowing.. then they say okay generator shuts of at 9… ?????? generator your kidding… so we are setting up fast before they shut it off… getting ready for bed going to the washroom in the back of the house.. me and tiff walkin and mouths dropped to the floor eyes so wide looking back and forth to eachother saying oh my goshh!!
clearly first 3 months of the race we were treated like royalty with the places we have been staying… but other teammates said that where we were wasnt so bad.. im thinking in my head for real?
bucket showers with rain water using the good ol squatty potty..
