so it all starts out with that darn 3 days time warp travel day…
so we get to our “bus stop” basically just ditched onto the side of the road. We wait and wait….
wait and wait… wait and wait… all our packs on the side of the street, getting shoved by people almost run over by buses turning into a place where clearly the CANNOT fit, I swear huge buses think they can fit anywhere.. let just say if my mother knew where I was and what I was doing that I would it wouldn’t be nice… =) sorry mom…
this is the fun part,
so there is about 10 of us 2 teams and out 2 squad leaders, our bus was suppose to leave like 4 hours ago by this time and we turn to our translators who barely understand English? asks do you know which bus is our because there are a million buses cramped into a street the size of my house, and she says “no, don’t know” okay??
okay by this time you can either make the best out of it or sit there and have a bad attitude, but here on the world race we choose good attitudes =)
but us we choose to make something of it, then the guitar comes out… and one thing leads to another..
people passing by with a group of white people, and One NATIVE =) sitting with all our packs on the side of the street, I swear we probably look like hippies..
so me and Andrew are playing this little travel guitar, he is strumming and I am putting some sick chords together and our beautiful Laura starts to sing, this song has no lyrics or chords to it all improve we sing a little worship style and come blues little bit of Mexican style people are watching staring but staring is nothing new.
I wonder when I go home how it’s going to feel when people don’t stare anymore, whoa that will be a strange feeling.
so by this point we have a crowd going then Tricia decides people should start paying, so she puts a hat out we figure if we are giving them a show they should pay… well with our amazing talents at 2 people playing 1 guitar, singing the same children’s songs for the 100th time with some actions, right down to an Indian dance we made 56 rupees (less than a dollar)
all to end off the night hope on a over stuffed hot bus, and having bruised knees by the end of the 13 hour ride…
Then my passport was lost/stolen…..
