You know when you hear that one song that just strikes all you emotions, every single note that is played, all the different intrusments that are within that song and the uniqueness of every single beat. Along with that the voice that is singing and the melody of the words, this is what I love, when a certain song that is played and just the way it sounds takes you back to that one moment when you first heard that song and all the emotions you were feeling, or the amazing memory that it brought to you, and everytime you hear that certain melody it hits you in some way that can almost be unexplainable but it happens, it happens almost everyday for me.
Just remeber that one song that really walked you through one of the toughest seasons in your life… the words that comforted you… the words that brought you tears… the words that reached deep into you heart brought healing and redemption. The rhythm of the sound that soothed your soul, and you were able to be free…
OR
that time time when you were on top of the world, and the way it brought joy and happiness, all you could do was sing or dance… and have the biggest smile on your face…
Music is very impactful, I’m assuming to most people including myself… when we are feeling a certain way we want that one song that says everything we are feeling… all the words mean something to you and the tempo just adds effect
let say for example me…
If I just feel like worshiping the Lord I may blast some hillsong or Jesus culture…
now if i just want to soak in some good Christian music I’d play me some David Crowder Band can’t go wrong with that, or some jason upton…
if im just in a chill mood and want to… chill… I’d turn to Jack Johnson
if me and Jesus just want to rock out to some skillet or thousand foot krutch let it be…
my point it that there is always that song that you can turn to…
Psalms 98: 1-9
for he has done marvellous things
his faithfullness to the house of
burst into jubilant song with music;
the world, and all who live in it.
How awesome is it that thousands of years ago followers of the Living God made music to the Lord, with a harp, the sounds of many voices, trumpets and my favorite, the blasts! of the ram’s horn… ahhh this is so cool. How cool would that be to hear the way they worshiped and shouted for joy be for the Lord… (did you catch that)… SHOUTED FOR JOY!!! hundreds of people shouting for the joy of the Lord.
I never really realized until the past few days that God has given me an amazing talent, or never really believed it. I honestly did not think that I was good at playing guitar, I believed all the lies that I wasnt good enough or I didnt really know how to play.
But this past week God has been really showing me and saying like yeah this is a talent that I have given you, you are good and you know how to play so use it… flat out and straight to the point… take it and run with it is what he said basically.
Also being able to see and walk in the annointing of worship that has called me too… I have never even thought about this or considered it. Me being that person that God wants to use for this particular purpose. Every chord that I strum and every song that is played is going to be to worship the King. If God wants to use me as a vessel to bring His presence down to earth and set the captives free by a simple song or to glory and honor His name. I receive that.
God has definitely has placed in my heart and shown me through the Kenyan people how powerful woship is and how needed it is, to dwell in the presence of God and how much that is needed in our lives.

“When God’s people begin to praise and worship Him using the Biblical methods He gives, the Power of His presence comes among His people in an even greater measure.”
“Without worship, we go about miserable.”
“The time has come for a revival of public worship as the finest of the fine arts…While there is a call for strong preaching there is even a greater need for uplifting worship.”
