This week in our “Creative Expressions” class we went on a field trip to the Quinlan Visual Arts Center. We were challenged to find an artistic piece in the museum and then respond to it in a creative way. The painting that I discovered inspired me to write this poem entitled “Graffiti On My Heart.” I find it fascinating how the Holy Spirit can speak to us in so many ways! I encourage you to pay attention this week to how He is speaking to you. And if you’ll accept the challenge to respond to Him, I am sure that you’ll be amazed at the result! 🙂

Graffiti On My Heart

May your Holy Spirit descend like a dove.

May the colors revealed be as vast as your love.

May every rib, every bone ache to know its maker.

May childlike faith be awakened by its abstract creator.

May your desire for me be the graffiti on my heart.

May my hunger for more of you never depart.
