Hi everyone!
My name is Cassidy Wagner, and I am super excited that I got accepted to go on a World Race semesters trip! This blogging thing is new to me, so I’ve really be praying and contemplating about what I was going to say. First, I’d like to share some fun facts about myself so I don’t seem like a total stranger. Haha! I’m that one friend that likes to be home and in bed by 10, and gets up at like 7:30 every morning! My favorite candy is peanut butter M&M’s, I like to read, and I love pretty much any sport, especially volleyball! Music is my PASSION! I love how music can bind people together, and draw them closer to the Lord.
Most importantly I love Jesus, and I have a great desire to serve Him. This past July I got the opportunity to go to Mexico and help a church with vbs. I LOVED IT! We went there to bless them, and we were blessed even more. I got to witness God work in powerful ways while I was there, and it really opened my eyes. I got to see how the church is truly supposed to be. Christians from different parts of the world, different religions, different languages, and very different cultures worked together to advance the Gospel, and dropped everything to help one another. After that trip, I knew I was supposed to go on another. I had been praying about where God wanted me to go, and some friends of my parents had told them about the World Race. I looked it up and started reading about some of their trips. My first thought was, “I want to go to Africa”. So, at first I only focused on their Africa trips, but I felt like God was leading me in a different direction. I clicked on the Philippines trip, and read the description. Immediately I knew that’s where I was supposed to go. I know it will be trying, but I also know that God has a plan and will use each and everyone of us in powerful ways if we are willing to let Him. I can’t wait for the trip, but I’m also going to enjoy this process leading up to it.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this, and I will be posting more soon!
