I’m just giving a little update about what my fundraising is currently looking like!
Yesterday I got a little bit of a shock when I was looking at the funds that I’ve been raising for my trip, I am a bit over 9% funded right now, but I found out that the money I need to raise is American money, not Canadian as I had assumed! This means that the money I need to raise just jumped from $12,500 to $15,700 (Canadian). I’m really sorry to those who did donate already, you have probably realized that ADV took out more money than you had planned on funding me, because the online donation was in American money.
This new obstacle is extremely overwhelming, and is really driving me to fully have faith that God will provide all of the funds I need. My first deadline went from $6,000 to $7,500 , so God is really testing my trust in Him.
I fully believe that if God does want me to go, He will provide for me the funds that I need, but this whole experience is definitely going to strengthen my faith. I could also really use some prayers, as I am a bit stressed out about having to raise an extra $3,000!
If you would like to help support me, make sure you know that online donations are in American money, and so the Canadian amount will end up being more than the actual donation says. (For example, if you donate $50 online, the money coming out of your account will actually be 62.42, so keep that in mind.)
