After being on the field for just about two months, this blog is long overdue but please meet my team. The ladies whom I share a tiny room with and get to do ministry alongside each day.
Angela:
Sweet Ang is twenty. She’s from Naples, Florida and lived in Panama until she was twelve. Angela has a heart full of grace. She serves those around her so sweetly. A woman slow to speak and quick to kindness.
Fun fact: “whenever I walk upstairs I always count the steps but I never go past ten, I always restart after ten”
Makinze:
Kinze gal is nineteen. She’s from Burnet, Texas. She takes everything to the father before anyone else. You can find Kinze anywhere with her bible in hand. Always digging for more truth. Her laugh fills the room. A woman bold in her beliefs who carries so much biblical knowledge.
Fun fact: “I’m trying to think of something… that I do… I spray all your beds with disinfectant every day”
Emily:
Sweet Em is eighteen from San Antonio, Texas. She dances from room to room. Her words are rooted in kindness. She always puts others above herself and can relate to literally anyone. The father gave this gal some serious gifts. Em is like a secret weapon. Quiet at first then BAM. She’s a blessing, to say the least.
Fun fact: “ I won’t eat the rims/edges of a n y t h i n g. Sandwiches, steaks, apples, burgers.”
Gemma:
Gem baby is eighteen from Austin, Texas. She’s an encourager. Her words are truly sweet to the soul. She wears her heart on her sleeve and is never shy to speak truth over others. she will always be there to let you have any emotional outbursts. A woman who stands firm in the gifts the lords given her.
Fun fact: “I shook Obama’s hand in 2013”
Maddy:
Sweet Mads is eighteen from Annapolis, Maryland. Maddy is seriously like a flower. Still at first but once she blossoms there’s no stopping her. She speaks truth and brings so much silliness. She so beautifully walks in who the father created her to be. A woman full of contagious joy.
Fun fact: “my dog, Rooney, is my best friend”
Kendel:
Silly Kendel is eighteen from Dallas, Texas. She’s spunky and full of life. She speaks in different silly voices and brings SO much laughter to our team. She cares for others in a way that’s so beautiful and unique to her. She strives to dig into the fathers truth. A woman confident in who she was created to be.
Fun fact: “I’ve been in a cage with a lion in Honduras”
Bernadette:
Sweet sweet Bern is our alumni team leader. She’s not just my leader, but a friend. She’s twenty from Cincinnati, Ohio. She dedicated another three months of her life to come back on the field just to love on us. Simply put, Bernadette dances with the father so so beautifully. She’s an encourager if I’ve ever met one!! She leads us with so much grace, laughter & patience. She encourages us to run to the father with anything and everything life throws. She’s showing me what it looks like to be a young woman who’s heart is after the lord. I see abba more in her each day. She speaks life over anyone she encounters. Her words are sweet and her actions are always intentional. A woman full of grace and love.
Fun fact: “when I’m angry I really like to tap dance to get my anger out”
There you have it, my team, team Jaimasi. Jaimasi means victory to the kingdom, something that this team reminds me of each day. They remind me to praise God and give Him thanks in everything we do. To know each of these women is a blessing and to call them sisters is a gift. Each of them bring so so so much to this team. They encourage me and love me so dang well. I’m honored to walk with them, grow with them, and learn from them each day. Thanks God for this little family. Please keep each one of them in your prayers as we continue to walk together on this crazy cool journey.
