Rivers of Light
For the ones reading my blog I thought it would be great to just introduce you to my fabulous team mates! I am on an all girls team and this month we have really shown a community that does not believe in women just how powerful and strong a group of women can really be! Out of all the teams on my squad we are the youngest team, we range from 21-24! So here is just a little info about my team members:
Mariah: She is our team leader! Mariah is 22 years old and from upstate New York! She is very humble, caring, and strong! She loves to work out and keeps our team members motivated to take care of our health on this journey! She always takes in to account everyone’s feelings and is constantly encouraging us to go deeper in our walk with God!
Sarah: She is from Pennsylvania and is the oldest on our team at 24 years old! Sarah is very intelligent and knows everything there is to know about geography! She is so wise and brings so much light to every situation for our team! She also has a awesome sense of humor, easy to talk too, and is always up for an adventure!
Reyna: She is from Nebraska and is 21 years old! Reyna is always ready for a good laugh, adores kids and loves sports! Reyna looks at every situation in such a positive light and always reminds us to look at everything on the positive side! She is also a big giver and encourager!
Ashleigh: She is from Texas and is 21 years old! Ashleigh will constantly make you laugh, she LOVES to cook, and is very quick to help wherever is needed! She is constantly encouraging us as a team and reminding us why we chose this journey! She has been through so much but always comes out on top with a positive attitude and super strong!
Victoria: She is from Florida and is 22 years old! Victoria has a passion for the needy! She cares so deeply for our team and everyone we come in contact with! She is a person you know you can go to with anything and she will support you whole heartedly!
Illy: She is 22 years old and from Pennsylvania! Illy is very shy but adds so much to every situation! She makes sure nothing goes unnoticed! She might be shy but when she has something to say it’s usually exactly what needs to be said and very wise! She is very caring and so easy to talk too!
At training camp I was really hoping for a coed team but God knew exactly what he was doing! God knew I needed these girls on this journey! It’s amazing the bond that can start to develop over a month and a half! We have laughed together, cried together, sweat together, encouraged, pushed one another and shared things we have never shared before! This community that is growing is absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see what all God has in store!
