I received a text a few nights ago from my dad at work simply saying "I Love You"
It made my night so wonderful and I texted him back saying "I Love You too Daddy!"
The next morning my mother told me my dad had been crying all night thinking of me leaving and when she told me my father was next to her holding back tears.
That next night at work I wrote a prayer for him:
Dear God,
Please strengthen my daddys heart while I am away on my mission trip.
When he start to miss me help put a vision on his heart on all the good I am doing for others in Your name and please help him continue to be proud of me and help me in so many ways to prepare for my trip.
Let him know it is because of him that I have learned to love You, God.
All my growth spiritually and maturely steamed from his love and the love he has for You.
Please let only tears of joy fall from his eyes when he thinks of me as I'm gone and please lift any sorrow off of his heart.
Help him to easily accept the path You have chosen for me and to be excited for me.
Let him know I am NEVER away from his heart and he will NEVER be away from mine.
Remove any financial worry he may have because of me while preparing for and departing on my trip.
Replace any sorry or worry for me with happiness, joy and a proud nature.
Thank you Lord for blessing me with a wonderful earthly father.
