Hi friends!

It’s 3am as I’m typing this post, and I should have been in bed a very long time ago…but I’m just too excited to sleep!  Not only do I leave for the women’s retreat/training camp in less than 12 hours (!!!), but I also have some exciting information that I’m absolutely stoked to share with you all!  This post is for all you poor college kids/recent graduates/any person who doesn’t have extra money just sitting around waiting to be given away.  I know that many of my most beloved friends and family members are not in a position to simply donate cold, hard cash to my World Race trip, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot be a vital part of my support team! So without further ado, here are FIVE ways that you can support me on my World Race journey that do not involve simply writing a check to Adventures in Missions on my behalf!  (AKA: The ‘No $$? – Support Cassady!’ Campaign)

1) Donate items for my Yard Sale!  Mark your calendars, everybody – on Saturday, November 1st I’m having an EPIC yard sale to benefit my World Race trip!!!  The sale will take place in the front parking lot of Back Creek Presbyterian Church from 7am – 12pm, and since North Carolina will be well on its way to winter-weather by then, coffee and hot chocolate will most definitely be available!  But first, I need your help!  I want to make this a HUGE event in order to raise as much money as possible, so I need that bag of stuff that you’ve been forgetting to take to Goodwill for the past 7 months and anything else that you’d be willing to donate to sell at the yard sale.  Starting on Monday, October 20th I will personally come to your home (within 45 minutes of the University area) and pick up your items – you just have to give me an address and some awesome yard sale goodies!  (Also, if you have a truck or large car and would be willing to help me with some of the larger pickups, please let me know!)

2) Eat Mor Chikin on Tuesday, November 4th from 5pm – 8pm at the Chick-fil-a University location (8648 JW Clay Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28262)!  That’s right, the wonderful people over at Chick-fil-a will donate a portion of ALL sales that take place during this time directly to my World Race fund – all you have to is show up, eat up, and mention my name and World Race trip when you order!  I will be there all evening sharing more about my trip and promoting another exciting addition to my World Race fundraising campaign, which leads me to the third way you can support me without donating money…

3) Get your Keys to the Kingdom – I am so excited to tell you all about this opportunity to support my World Race trip, because I get to give you something in return for your donation!  Starting October 20th I will be selling handmade necklaces adorned with one of a wide variety of skeleton keys to represent the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven that each of us has been given as the beloved children of God!  Stay tuned for another post with the full story behind Keys to the Kingdom after I get back from Training Camp – but I just couldn’t wait to share with you all how excited I am about these!

4) Spread the word! Another HUGE way that you can help me out is by spreading the word about my World Race trip, my blog, and all of my upcoming fundraisers.  I am an extrovert to the core and have been so blessed by the many friends and family members that the Lord has placed in my life, but I want to invite even more people to join me on this journey and support the furthering of Christ’s Kingdom around the world!  So tell your family about the World Race, share the link to my blog on your Facebook page, or invite some friends to come out to my fundraisers with you – the more the merrier!  I truly cannot thank you all enough for your love and support!!!

5) Pray, pray, pray.  This is by far the most important and supportive thing that you could possibly do for me.  One of the many lessons that the Lord has been teaching me during my season of staying is the power of prayer – the preciousness of this incredible opportunity we have through Christ to enter into the throne room of the most Holy of Holies and confidently ask the Lord to reveal His goodness in our lives.  I will not make it on the World Race without prayer partners – it simply is not possible.  So please pray for me, my squad and team, and the people we will encounter during our time on the field.  I will continue to update you all with more specific prayer requests as I continue this journey, and I truly hope you will join me in coming before the Father daily.  If a reminder is helpful, consider praying for my World Race journey at 11:11 am/pm each day to represent the 11 countries I will be going to in 11 months! 🙂

So there you have it- 5 ways to support me BESIDES donating money!  I simply cannot adequately express my gratitude for your support and love through this process – I could not be taking this step of faith without you!  For right now, though, I’ve got Georgia on my mind and I’ll be Gainesville-bound within the hour for my World Race Women’s Retreat and Training Camp!!

Much love,

Cassady
