1. Hospitality is given a new definition: members of the church are cooking our meals, guarding our gate, walking with us where needed, driving us places, doing our laundry.
2. Because of “AFRICA TIME” you miss seeing the sunset.  Africa Time means anywhere between the hour.
 
3. Your alarm and snooze is the rooster next door.
4. When children hear you are from American they assume you are friends with Obama.  (Obama is from the town we are living in now).
5. Children yell “Muzungo (white person)” as your teammates walk down the street.  (Of course they don’t call me that.  HA HA HA!)
6. There is no need to go to the market for fruits and veggies, you just buy from one of the hundred booths on the street.
7. Entertainment for the day are ducks, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, and cows crossing the road.
8. 3 Turkeys join the congregational hymn and 1 chicken comes in to cluck at the benediction.
9. Young Adults are excited to be apart of the church.
10. People sit on laps and necks in the vehicle, just so everyone gets a seat.  It’s even common to pick up someone off the side of the road and drop them off at their home.
11. Entertainment for the day is watching a blind Kenyan man play 4 different instruments.
