Being around world race participants since October has given me a new worship culture. It’s a blessing to be around people my age who are truly dedicated to God’s call. God has called us all to be separate from the world. I wasted much of my teenage years trying so hard to be like the world. I don’t have regrets of the past because thankfully it has led me to where I am right now. I have experienced deliverance from many strongholds in my life. One of those was gossip. Gossip destroys.

I felt convicted at Launch, as did a few other racers. After a powerful sermon God convicted our hearts and we stood in confession. It felt great to be released and to break generational curses on my life. In World Race culture if we go to one another in gossip, we have 24 hours to tell the person what we said about them. If we don’t tell them, the person we went to has responsibility to do so.

Hannah, Kerry and Nicole

We are all keeping one another accountable in that area of our lives. I trust this community. They call me out in the most loving way when I’m wrong and remind me that we are building each other up, not tearing down. Every morning we pray together. In fact, the Bible college has a great prayer room.

Before our first ministry day, our entire group utilized the prayer room, calling out to God on behalf of the people in New Zealand. We worshipped God. God had given Kerry and I a song earlier in the day called “I quiet you” based on Zeph 3: 17. We sang that song out in worship to God.

We’ve already seen God’s healing powers as our brother asked prayer for his hurt shoulder. After our mass prayer he felt no pain in his shoulder. God has given us words of prophesy to speak over one another as well as over the people of New Zealand.

He is showing up everywhere. While we came to minster, we are being ministered to. Random people have spoken into our lives, called out things in us that only God could have known. We are being prayed over and commissioned to the world. We are the body of Christ and he is gifting each of us. Please continue in prayer for us as we walk in God’s calling.
