Most work days begin with Kerry and I singing and end with Kerry and I singing. We both grew up in traditional churches so we make hymns are daily psalm. One particular morning Kerry and I were goofing off in the hall. She started to whistle “I surrender all” and I joined in with a harmonizing whistle and the laughter really broke out. This joyous attitude is helpful in our daily work.

Each day after House of Prayer our group worked on different projects to help Change Point. Majority of my team painted rooms in the office while others were sanding, power washing, painting outdoors and fixing fences. The people in this congregation have held a great role in the Jubilee as well as the Call for All. After a day’s work Pastors David and Linda served a lasagna dinner to all four teams. We pulled couches into the flower garden and had great conversation.

We all surrounded Pastor David as he told us stories of New Zealand’s start. It was amazing to hear how charismatic praise and worship began in 1967 right in New Zealand. He told of disciples going out to spread God’s goodness all around. I find it interesting how we are now in New Zealand watching God spark the fire again in these people. While it seems odd to begin with whistling in harmony, it will actually take that controlling unity of believers to see this nation rise once again.
