Living outside has become quite the norm for us.

One would never imagine me living in a tent, nevertheless enjoying it, but I do. My tent is closest to the door leading to the inside bathroom. Because there are so many girls, we allowed N squad to use the women’s bathroom and us in M squad use the “Gents” bathroom. (This may change in a few days due to all the people moving in to this college and all of us sharing facilities).
I mostly enjoy my bathroom time and take as much time as I need. Here, let’s just say we have 90 seconds.   Seriously! I’m not exaggerating. When you walk in the bathroom you push the button to turn the light on. By the time you get comfortable in the shower or toilet the light turns off and become pitch black in the room. You then have to quickly run to push it back on, praying no one sees you exposed. Or you just wait hoping someone will walk into the bathroom every 90 seconds.

After pushing the button about 3 times, I think, “Is this how God feels with us?” He lights up our lives with Jesus and we go and gossip, steal, cheat, lie, fornicate, get drunk, watch pornographic movies, destroy the lives of others, all the while pulling down the shade to hide the light he has giving us. God gave us a free gift of salvation and we need to give holiness back to Him. We don’t need to wait until we are 85 to learn to praise god, to live pleasing lives.  The time is now. God forgives us but we don’t need to use that to excuse our wrong doing.
