Arete talked about our frustrations concerning our work here. We haven’t exactly been sure of our role. We assist with Playgroup Monday’s through Wednesdays.
We help with Women’s group on Wednesday nights and on the off days we’ve been asked to pray.
It’s been saddening at times, not being fully accepted by the community. In the midst of our apathy for the people, God spoke. He said, “You are not here to be equipped or directed as in what to do; you are here to equip. You are here to encourage those who will remain here as missionaries once you’re gone.” We all felt relief knowing our role.

As we began to thank the Lord and pray specifically for the missionaries at 11:15 pm Thursday the 11th (6:15am EST), Jeanne was taken back with emotion. She felt strongly to pray for my sister, Christian. (Christian was recently told she will need a surgery on her back). My entire team beckoned to God on her behalf. I felt their love strongly as they prayed for my little sister’s back to be healed.

I find it interesting that God placed us all the way across the world, but has been laying our families and home churches on our hearts to be in prayer for.
