last year. Last year I woke up to
brothers in our guest house. I came home
in the afternoon to them preparing our lunch and came home in the evenings to
some preparing our suppers and others watching movies. This time around I have greatly missed that
interaction. I have spent a great deal
of time with my little brother, Paul, but I live with his family so that is a
given. The others are on break from
college so they have been spending most moments with their families.
On Friday, Paul arranged it so that Reuben, Brian, Esdor
and I could go for a walk. While we had
intended at least a two hour walk, our time was limited due to the shape of my
knee.
With Kenya having the equator as its cousin, we were able
to enjoy plenty of kisses from the sun along our walk. It was a pleasure to catch up with the very
guys who helped my journey last time be so enjoyable.
degrees. Kenya will become a great
nation because of these young men. Paul
will help this developing nation away from its title as a third world
country.
Reuben will motivate many youngboys to greatness as he educates those who wouldn’t otherwise afford an
education.
behavior of men and women and help them come to solutions for the challenges in
their lives.

to have successful businesses.
One year and a half ago God used Kenya to remind me that
young adults have a purpose. Though
these men are younger than me, they have given me hope in men. Watching them encourage the children in
Sunday school, lead Praise and Worship on Sundays, sing in the choir, educate
themselves, are constant reminders to me that God is doing great things through
men.
I refuse to be one of those women who say, “There aren’t
any good men in the world.” I have been
around the world and I can testify that there are men of valor, high standards,
holiness, diligent work, great respect of women. Let us continue to encourage the men in our
lives to love the Lord their God with all their hearts, minds, soul and
strength.
