When our team first discussed joining International House of Prayer in coming to Prague, all I could think about were the four hour IHOP days in New Zealand. It was in New Zealand that Kerry Bates and I found our love for spontaneous prophetic worship. She would play in the prayer room at Bethel college for hours while I wrote lyrics on the marker board. Since then we haven’t sung together much.
We joined worship our first Sunday in town and have been on the worship team since– Kerry on the piano and me on the microphone. Studying the prophets and praying before we lead worship has really been life-changing. God has truly used our voices for his glory. We have prayed prayers, interceding and declaring truths over this town through song. Opening ourselves up to God, he has used Kerry’s fingers and my vocals to bring new songs into worship. Being involved in choirs as a young person, I have really known people to become united through singing. Kerry and I have not only grown in our friendship, but in our love for god while singing together.
On October 29th our former teammate, Nicole Juhaz, has organized a world wide prayer. We will be praying from 7pm until 7am for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Prague and across this world. Let us sing together. Let us be unified in prayer to see a real change in our world.
