In our efforts to feed the community, we were taken through an alley into an area marked with arson.
Nearly 30 homes were destroyed with fire.
This was no natural disaster destroying their homes, but hate crimes. 5 people threw bottles of gasoline into the area during the night along with a lit match.
This horrible act destroyed homes. Fortunately no one was injured. However, they lost what little bit they had. Now these families, one with a new born baby, are living in small spaces and sleeping on boards. When we asked how we could pray for them, they asked that finances would work out.
God is showing us first-hand how important prayer is. Sometimes in the midst of our American lives, we forget that the world is larger than the United States.
We forget that there are people hurting not just on our street corners, in our families but in families all over the world. While our calling may not be to travel and touch each hurting person, our calling is to pray.

Can you please pray for these families?
