We have had a time with shuttles for these past few weeks. God has really blessed us with transportation. Someone loaned us their 8 passenger van. With 24 of us it is necessary to take several shuttles of people to get where we are going. One morning our shuttle was running late. Arete was offered a ride on the Islander’s bus
And boy was it some ride!!! God placed us right in the middle of people from Fiji, New Caledonia, Somoa, Tonga, and Papa Nuguyne.

There was never a moment that singing wasn’t going on. We joined in with the native songs while some of the guys made beats, stomping their feet and others banging windows or seats. We were taught hand motions and new languages. The notes made to harmonize were so beautiful. These people all from different islands with a different tongue were singing about one great thing: God’s goodness. Each individual had a different story. Each one had stories of doubt from friends/ family who didn’t understand their desire to be a missionary. Some left well paying jobs to do mission work all because God called them. My team and I are learning this month that when we listen to God’s call, step out on faith, he will provide. We don’t have to worry about where we will sleep or what we will eat because he has already worked that out. It doesn’t take a 26 year old to go and do service. Missionaries don’t look one particular way. God just has one command, “Go.”
