Q&A
I have been asking people to ask me questions for a Q&A blog so here it is!!! Hope you enjoy!!

Q: do you miss your mom
A: OF COURSE! I miss all my family and friends.

Q: whats the first thing you did once you got to Africa?
A: Well after we left the airport we went to our base for that month but we got there around 6 am so we go to our rooms, unpacked and waited for breakfast.

Q:Where are you?
A: WELL.. I will be in 3 different countries while Im gone. I am currently in South Africa but we are heading to eSwatini (Swaziland) (Well I am in eSwatini now. Thanks to limited wifi) and then ending in Lesotho.

Q: did you pierce your nose?
A: YES! 🙂 That was a spontaneous decision. (that didn’t last long. it fell out during the night while in Swaziland haha)

Q: what has been your favorite part so far?
A: 100% working with the Kids!!!

Q: when do you come back?
A: April 26th!!

Q: Whats been the hardest transition from american life?
A: honestly probably not having wifi at all times so I cant talk to family anytime I want but also laundry. I have struggled with not being able to wash stuff and hand washing is not my gift haha.

Q: Whats been your favorite part about the trip so far?
A: Probably living in community with my team.

Q: How in the world did you pack 3 months worth of supply into essentially 2 bags?
A: PACKING CUBES!!! And lots of repacking. But I also got many things that have more than one use and are small/travel size. Also I have been able to go to the store and buy things.

Q: Whats the food like in South Africa? Is it spicy?
A: We have been cooking a lot of our own food so i haven’t had many different foods but a lot of what I have had is very spicy.

Q: How is the food?
A: so far so good. Thanks for asking. And for everyone wondering…. I have had tacos 3 times. God is good.

Q: Whats one item you are very thankful you took with you?
A: My sleeping blanket is one thing. My portable charger, my chacos, earbuds and markers. That was way more than one thing. Oops 🙂

Q: What do you wish you had taken with you?
A: A sweatshirt for sure.

Q:What are 3 things you find you have in common with the people/community you are serving?
A: they are a lot like us. They have dreams and desires just like we do. They want what’s best for their kids as well.

Q: do you find that people in another part of the world are really different from you?
A: Yes and No. They are people jus like us, of course, but they are a little different. They have more joy and are living in less. That is crazy.

Q: How would you motivate others your age to do what you do?
A: listen to God. If he’s calling you to do something he will make it very clear.

Q: Whats the first thing you want when you get home?
A: Besides hugs from my family, best friend and boyfriend??? TACOS AND DR.PEPPER FOR SURE.

Q: Whats the biggest thing God has taught you so far in Africa?
A: He taught me how to slow down and how to hear from him. What a gift that was.

That’s about all for this post. I started this blog in South Africa, worked on it in Swaziland then got sent home and forgot about it until now. I know it’s very very late but I hope you still enjoy it!! Thanks again for everyone for your prayers and support while I was gone and trying to come home. I love you all so so much!!!
