This month, I have the privilege of working with Lighthouse in Action in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The video below gives a synopsis of this ministry and features its founder and our contact, Emmi. She is a lot of fun to work with, and her love for the Thai people is contagious. The Lord has freed her from so much and established her in Chiang Mai to do radical ministry.
My team is doing Love Acts Bar Ministry. Every night, half of the team goes out to the bars, and half stays back to intercede in prayer. We build relationships with the girls and ladyboys that work there, buy them a coke, play some pool, and show them that we are there to be their friend, not to buy them. We are living above the Zion Cafe, which is a coffee shop and restaurant that provides jobs for girls that Emmi is mentoring. Living above a coffee shop definitely has its perks!
