Friends, family, acquaintances, strangers, Internet buddies, hey.
If you’ve gotten this far, then you know that my name is Casey Cappa, and I will be going on the World Race Expedition Route in January 2017. Thank you for even the slightest interest in this journey that the Lord has me on.
So yeah, since this is an ‘about me’ page, here’s some things about me.
I’m 24 years old, and originally hailing from Goodlettsville, TN. In 2011, I moved from my Nashville suburb to Birmingham, Alabama to attend Samford University, and I’ve been here ever since. I graduated from Samford in May 2015, and I will graduate again this winter with my Masters in Business Administration (MBA). The OG childhood dream job was being an astronaut (#tbt), but now plan A the dream is to work with nonprofits and socially minded organizations. I like concerts, food, writing, books, travel, coffee, dancing, and animals (except birds).
I’m a creative, an introvert with some extroverted tendencies, and honestly, a pretty normal, average human being. Luckily, I’m not the main character in this story. Jesus Christ has totally rocked my world, transformed my life, and planted His desires in my heart.
Our Heavenly Father promises that every tribe and nation will be represented in Heaven,
And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” Revelation 5:9.
and commands us to be the instruments to make that happen.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20.
There’s not a doubt in my mind that the Lord has called me to play a role in His story by giving my life to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
And that’s pretty much what brings us to now.
If you want to join me on this journey, feel free to subscribe to my blog for email updates pre-race and while I’m on the field. Also, I’m currently in the process of building a team of prayer and financial support, which I would love for you to partake in if you feel led. And if you have any questions, feel free to contact me via my blog.
“Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.” Psalm 2:8.
