yes, it has been far to long since i have posted. i am sorry. unfortunetly i was otherwise occupied the last few times we have been anywhere near a computer, bummer.
it is a season for new things…. it is my first time to mexico, yea! it is my first time with aim. and sad to say i had my first upset tummy experience. you must understand what a big deal this was for me. i have been to 12 countries and on lucky number 13 i finally got sick. to add to the disaster i also came down with a slight chest infection. i am feeling much better and am gald to be back with the team once again. i had to miss out on a couple of days of ministry, which is a lot when we are only here for less than two weeks.
working in mexico has totally changed my view on the country. i have grown a real love the country and the passion that the christians have here. they have taught me a lot in the little time that i have been here and with a huge language barrier between us. watching the pastor and church members pray with such deep conviction and passion as they cry out to god on their knees in the mud will change your concept of prayer! they have been teaching about hearing god speak in their church meetings, and i was honored to be able to share the last evening that we were a part of their meeting. it took far to long in my christian faith for me to gain a real understanding of the fact that god speaks so specifically and clearly to us when we only ask. my prayer for the church that we were with and the people that we met was that they would hear god”s voice and know his will for their life. that is my prayer for you too!
