As most of you know I am planning on
traveling through Greece for three weeks
with Tauna and Ashley. We were given the option to travel through Europe on our own personal money … rather than race through as many countries as possible, we opted to spend all of our time in Greece. This would be the cheapest option as well as we wanted to be able to really soak into the culture and see all that the country had to offer. With Greece being one of the main places that Paul traveled through during his missionary journeys (in the book of Acts) and there even being places that books of the Bible were written to; Corinthians, Philippians and Thessalonians ~ we figure with that and the archeological sites and other tourist spots we will have plenty to fill up our short holiday.

Being that I don’t have all of my funds in for the trip, I do not have a lot of personal money at the moment…. So we will be doing things on the lighter side of the budget, but I think we’ve had enough practice at it in the last few months on the World Race, so we should be able to make it through to Bosnia on June 18.

We are looking forward to this awesome adventure through Greece! Having the privilege to walk where the disciples once walked is already blowing my mind and we aren’t even there yet! We are excited to spend time in the Word as we travel – we want to get a full understanding of the places that we will be visiting.

We will try and keep you all up to date on the places that we will be. We will also post photos of the great sites that we will be seeing. The plan is to start in Athens and go down to Corinth and see some of the sites down on the islands there. We will then make our way up the east coast along the route of Paul. Nothing is for sure yet (except that we’ll start in Athens) as I am in Egypt and Tauna and Ashley are in India. We will have lots of planning to do in the early hours of the morning on our flight from Cairo on May 22.

Please keep us in your prayers as we travel ~ that we will be safe, find great deals (finances), meet men and women of God, that we will travel well together (friendships), and that God will pour into us as we seek more understanding of His word. If you have any suggestions of things to do or people you know who are working in Greece, please feel free to pass the info along.

Until we reach Greece….

Casey
