I am your average Seattle, Washington chick to grew up in sunny Southern California. Yes, I still wear a tank top, jeans, flip flops and a hoodie year round.
I heard God speak to me on a high school mission trip, He told me that I wouldn’t be going to college after high school but would go on the mission field. I joined YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Pursuits in New Zealand a few months after graduating high school. I spent a total of three years working with Pursuits. God did awesome things! He taught me so much as I learned to continue to follow His voice.
I have been home in wet Washington for the last year. I have been working with a local church plant in my area. It has been a whole new experience for me and I have learned a lot. I was hoping to get a full time job when I returned home but doors continued to close. After many open and closed doors I realized that it was time for me to move on. I found the World Race with AIM and knew that it was meant for me. It took all of my experience leading and training teams with YWAM and my current work with the church plant and put them together. It was a match made in heaven! I can’t wait to see all that God is going to do! There really is no better or safer place to be than in the center of God’s will.
