As many of you know, I have a life calling to missions. Since graduating high school in 2000 I have spent the majority of my time on the mission field. This last year I desperately wanted to get a job (mainly so that I could afford to go back into the mission field), but every time it looked like I had a good job things fell through. So last year I worked seasonally (Christmas and Valentines) for See’s Candy and helped start a brand new church in the area. I wish I could say that I have built up solid supporters over the years, but I can’t. The only one I have is my mom who has stood beside me and lifted me up throughout my trips, even while she continues to support my two younger sisters (one who is also church planting in Idaho). I have always just had to rely solely on God for my support to come in, which it always has.

I just found out that my account for the trip has reached the lowest that AIM wants it to go before sending you home.
It brings me almost to tears to think that money could stand in the way of what God is calling me to do. I recently got a pledge for $1000, which leaves me with another
$5000 to go.
Please pray that the money will come in and that I will raise up supporters who will continue to support me after the World Race 2006 is over. (I already know that I will be back on the field in January 2007 after a short break from this trip.) I know that God will provide using people I know and love as well as complete strangers. I can’t wait to see what He’ll do this time.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24

If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?
1 Corinthians 9:11

In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:14
