When we were bombing the monastery I was disappointed that I couldn’t be laying tracts too. Not only did I want the adrenaline rush of the experience but I so desperately wanted these people to have the word of God, to really know Him. I didn’t want just a couple of the monks or worshippers to find a piece of paper, but for all of them to have one to read.

Why God? Why can’t I give them your word?

Within an instant God replied so clearly to me:
Christ is in you (Colossians 1:27) and
Christ (God) is the Word (John 1:1).

Even if I didn’t get to lay one tract… if I didn’t get to pray one word out loud I did bring the Word of God to that place because I was there.

I continued to pray as we went – aloud when I could and silent the rest of the time. But now I had the peace of knowing that our God – the one and only living God was there.
