the pastor i was under while i was home was in love with the book of corinthians. what a joy for me to go to the place that my pastor talked about with such passion.
korinthos (Corinth) was one of the best places we stopped. from just looking over the fence you could see the remnants of a city. things were’t labeled at the site, but we assumed that since Paul spent 18 months in corinth that he’d probably walked through all the places we did in the city. Paul really had such a heart for the people in Corinth. he was proud of them and wanted to encourage them to grow more in the Lord. but just like Athens, Corinth was filled with idols and even had temples with prostitutes at the gates. there ar estill remnants of some of the statues and idols in the meuseum. once again there was much joy and awe as we finished the journey in Corinth. they are still excavating at Corinth (making it more expensive to get into), so who knows what things they will continue to find in this great city that Paul loved so dearly.
