As most of you know my heart has always been in Africa… I just love it there!!! I also have a huge heart for New Zealand, my spiritual home, where I grew up in the Lord.
I didn’t think it was going to be possible… to be honest I didn’t even really want to come to Europe…. But the more time we spend here, the more I love it! Yes I love Bosnia-Herzegovina, but mostly I love the youth!!!
My heart has always been for discipleship, that’s what I did for three years in New Zealand (be discipled and disciple others). So being here in Mostar with the girls who are going to Ecuador seems so much like being at home. Like I said in another blog, Mostar is not going to be the same without them here. (They leave for the States a week before we leave Bosnia-Herzegovina.) But I know that this will be an awesome time for them as they grow in the Lord and build their foundations in Him.
Please pray with me and the rest of the team as they are on their trip. They have come to that point in their life when they are ‘wannabes’ … they wannabe an adult but they wannabe a kid. They have reached the age when they will no longer be under Brooks since they are no longer kids. It is time for them to grow and mature as women of God….. only problem is, they don’t have a female mentor or leader to help them in this journey. The girls haven’t been able to find the right woman to help answer their questions, challenge them in different areas, and that they can be open and free to express what is really going on inside. Please pray that God would bring the right woman into their lives to fill this hole.
