Hello to all and a fine Swazi greeting to each of you.
I am 7 hours ahead of Central time and the jet lag didn’t seem to be too rough.
I’m blessed with some time off this afternoon and hopefully will be able to put together a blog of decent length and depth.
We’ve been in Manzini for not quite 5 full days now and have been in some intense training.
As I mentioned earlier, the January team has been here debriefing their last couple of months and have been amazing in assuming a lot of the responsibility of training our team.
This is proving to be invaluable because of their hands-on experience in some of the countries we are going to.
There are also a lot of missionaries and friends of AIM who are here leading seminars on a great number of topics from evangelical tips to how not to get ripped off in a marketplace to fun games to play with kids (Oh le le!!!!
Hopefully a video will be posted of that song, it’s a classic).
We will probably only be at our current place for a couple more days before going to ministry either somewhere in Swaziland or South Africa.
Next could be the other of the two then possibly Mozambique or Botswana.
Naturally, please pray for wisdom and direction for the decision makers and that we listen to God’s callings.

Oh yeah, did I mention I just got back from a safari!?!?!?!?!
  It was amazing.
We saw Warthogs, Impala, about 4 other type of gazelle/antelope I can’t spell, some Elephants, Giraffes, a pride of Lions and 2 Rhino!
My favorites (thanks to pops) were the Rhino; there was an adult and a juvenile and they wandered about just for a bit before walking really REALLY close to our vehicle.
Somehow we startled them and it was nothing short of scary.
Fortunately for us, they scampered off.
We also saw several beautiful birds including a yellow hornbill.
Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable about wildlife in general, not just the animals in the reserve.
It really was a grand adventure and a time for us to see more of God’s great creation and the harmony He has created.
I bought a sticker of the Swaziland flag and stuck it on my water bottle.
I plan on making a routine of that for each country I pass through.

I feel the need to say a special prayer for those who have planned to come with us on this amazing trip but have felt God calling them elsewhere.
We miss you guys dearly and the only thing we want more than having you with us is for you to have faith and be obedient.

A note on myself… I’m going to write a letter to myself telling me who I think I am as a person today and how I think I could become more like the Lord.
I will pack it away or perhaps mail it home and then open it in a year and see how I’ve grown.
