This is only my fourth full day in El Salvador but it feels like a week. But four days is enough to fall in love with this beautiful country. With its rolling hills and great volcanos, it’s hard not to fall in love with it. But it’s not just the land that’s beautiful but also the people. We have been very welcomed since coming here and everyone is very nice.
For three months we will be working with an organization called Sus Hijos. So far we have done prison ministry with a prison for teenage girls in the gangs and then with another one for teenage boys in the barrio 18 gang. Working with them we’ve ran bible studies, played prison soccer, and just talked with them.
We will also be working with orphanages, feeding the homeless, and with boys and girls at a transition home after they leave the orphanages. I am very excited to see how God will work through us these months and everything we will be able to experience.
