I’ve always loved to travel, and had that passion for adventure and discovering something new. So the first year I went to Nicaragua I was really excited. It was on this trip God showed me up close and personally how lucky we are to live in the United States, and how much poverty there is around the world. I had always liked helping people before but this made it more worth it. It was after this trip that God showed me the World Race and told me that’s what he wanted me to do.

Over that year becoming a missionary was becoming much more of a passion to me. So when I went to Nicaragua a second time I tried to dive fully into it. On the second trip God moved me more strongly than he ever did. He showed me that even though these people were living in extreme poverty that with the love of Christ in their hearts they were happy. Also that they were willing to give what they had to people who had so much more just to show gratitude.

It was after this trip that I knew for a fact that God was calling me to this life. A life of serving people and a life of adventure.
