Hey guys!

My name is Casee (pronounced kay-see). I am 22 years old and I just recently graduated college at Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBAU) in West Palm Beach, Florida. I studied athletic training and I was in the Honors program. This combo led to some busy semesters because the Athletic Training Program requires at least 150 hours of clinical hours per semester. I loved it though! For example, during one semester I was assisting the athletic trainer at The Kings Academy, where I mainly worked with football, one of my favorite sports to work with and to watch. Basketball is another one of my favorites to work with, but also one of my favorite sports to play. In high school, I played on an AAU basketball team in addition to my high school team. I have also worked with the PBAU men’s basketball team as an athletic training student.

I was born in Fernandina Beach, Florida and I lived there my whole life up until college. My parents (Deb and Jerry) are amazing and they have always been so supportive of everything I choose to do. I also have a brother and a sister (Max and Masha) who were adopted from Russia when they were 2 and I was 4. My parents credit me as the reason they adopted because I asked to have lots of brothers and sisters after watching the Brady Bunch.

I’ve been on one other international mission trip to Panama in March 2016. Panama is where I found my love for travel, foreign cultures, and missions. One conversation especially impacted me. A local from Panama was speaking to our team and he pointed out how all of us are the same. Everyone – whether you are from the United States, Panama, or another country – has experienced some kind of  suffering. The suffering may look different depending on which country you come from, but everyone has the opportunity to repent of their sins and come to know Jesus as their Savior so they can find peace and purpose in their suffering. I was struck by his perspective and it reminded me that every single person across the world is of equal value and worth and everyone is ultimately in the same position. The importance of international missions has since been on my heart and it is one of the main influences in my decision and desire to go on the World Race.
