Ok…so as to not give away too many tidbits [should an individual pursuing World Race get a hold of my blog] I will leave you will some Training perspective; a brief overview of some experiences from the last 11 days.
You may have been at World Race Training Camp if:
A) you find yourself crying easily…as if you haven’t already cried enough….more tears come and you wonder how much mucus the human body can possibly hold.
B) you reminisce about oatmeal on a 38° morning like it was your favorite Christmas memory
C) you rock 6 broken nails like it’s your job
D) you recall your experience in the mountains as those in the Porta potties as opposed to those in the woods
E) the word germs no longer has significant meaning to you
F) your family looks at you strangely as you try to eat with your hands out of the large bowl at your dinner table
Yep…well that about sums it up!! Haha… ok I’m totally kidding (*kind of*) but you get the idea! Camp was full of learning experiences in all aspects. I’ll be sure to send out another “real” update soon!! Thank you again to all of you that have given selflessly! This trip is not possible without each of you. Much love to all.
