I just wanted to post a quick blog to let you all know I’m still alive and enjoying Malawi! Our internet has been less than “cooperative” here this month so we have been unable to post much this month. I will have lots of pictures soon and another blog at the end of the month! (Maybe even 2!) We’ll be returning to Monkey Bay (where we had our debrief) for a few days, where we’ll be holding a prayer conference for Africa. Please be praying for me as I’ll be speaking there and we’ll be having ministry hosts from all over Africa attending.
As far as ministry goes here, we’ve been active in the primary school working with the teachers and also in the daycare. We’ve had the opportunity to teach Bible stories, shapes, colors, and songs such as Jesus Loves Me. Next week we’ll get to serve with a distribution team, feeding people in the village and also doing some painting at the primary school.
Prayer requests for this last week here would include:
*Rain: Malawi needs rain. Many are starving (and poor) because crops are not growing. The praise report with this is that we have been praying for rain and have seen it almost every day!! Please join us in this!
*There is a definite battle taking place (spiritual warfare) to distract us and get us off track. Some of our teams have been attacked in their dreams, some have struggled in other areas such as feeling a “block” or being unable to hear from the Lord. Please pray that our last week would be fruitful for the Kingdom and that we wouldn’t feel defeated or overcome by the spiritual battle.
*Pray for our safety as we travel back to Monkey Bay for our conference and that the conference would be a blessing to many!
