More Than 11 Months: Preparation for the Journey
// Fundraising //
I may not be leaving the country until January, but that does not mean that I have not already started my journey on The World Race.
As part of the preparation for my departure on this Kingdom Journey, I have been fundraising.
Fundraising can be quite a daunting endeavor.
It is uncomfortable.
It is scary.
It is hard.
It is out of my control.
But
I trust God.
It actually surprises me how calm I have been throughout my fundraising endeavor.
You see… in the past, I was a person who needed to be in control, stressed about everything, and relied on my own strength. Over the past few years, I have been working in letting go of control, surrendering, and learning to humble myself. I have been reminded of my weakness and have had to rely on Christ’s strength. My trust in God has grown. I have seen and experienced His faithfulness through all different seasons in my life. I know He is able. God is in the business of the miraculous and impossible. I trust my Lord.
With this change that has occurred in my life over the past few years, I have entered my fundraising for the World Race with a trust in the Lord’s faithfulness.
I have had the words from one of my current, favorite songs
(I Will Look Up – Elevation Worship) in my head throughout this process.
“I will look back and see that You are faithful.
I look ahead believing You are able.
Jesus, Lord of ALL!”
Jesus can.
He is able.
He is faithful.
So, as I continue on this journey with God leading,
I am expectant,
I am excited,
I am ready to see the miraculous and the impossible.
BUT,
I need your help.
I need your help to make my call to serve happen.
My goal is $16,617
{World Race Financial Break Down}
Here is a break down of where the money goes…

// General Break Down //
• 2% ($332) Training Camp – Training Camp includes team-building, orientation, and cultural/safety training that will take place at the start of the year. I will attend training camp in January during the first few weeks in Uganda. It will be full of spiritual, mental, and physical preparation! This is a little different than other routes because Fusion Racers are from all over the world. This is why Fusion training camp is in our first country instead of the USA.
• 4% ($665) Field Support – Getting supplies, supporting local contacts, etc. All the ministries we partner with receive financial compensation and support as a part of our partnership.
• 12% ($1,994) World Race Development Program – Improvements and developments for the current and future World Race Routes.
• 17% ($2,825) Administration Fees – Processing, paying the staff who literally take care of every detail of our travel, food, lodging, etc. months in advance and during our race.
• 65% ($10,802) World Racer Budget – See below for further breakdown!

{How You Can Help}
I already have had several phone calls and in person conversations about my World Race journey! This is incredibly encouraging because it not only affirms that there are people who care, but also a family who believes in me, intercedes on my behalf, and is committed to Kingdom work. Thank you!
I am extremely thankful to my friends and family who have already donated!
