Hey Everybody!

I am sorry for the late post. My last one didn’t upload so now I have a lot to fill you in on. First… I am in Honduras! I honestly can not believe that I am here in this beautiful country with such a wonderful host family. Last January when I decided to apply for the World Race, I couldn’t have believed I would ever have made it this far into my journey!

It was not always easy though, there were many times I thought it was not worth it and I could not do it or maybe it would just be easier if I stayed home and got a job or went back to school.

God had other plans.

At training camp my life got turned upside down by Christ and I got Baptized! Not sure if I included it in the other blog so Im going to subtly throw that in there. Since then I could not wait to get on the plane and fly to Honduras and start my own World Race!

Two months past and I arrived at launch just 6 days ago to prepare and get ready to leave. I was pumped, excited, and in a hurry. I let the present pass me by and I never processed what was happening.

It did not hit me when we landed. It did not hit me on the six hours in a van driving up the beautiful landscape of Honduras. It hit me when I sat down to eat dinner with our host family. I stared at my team and held back tears.

What just happened? It took me finally sitting still in my new community that I realized that I was not going to return home and see my family for 11 months. I was scared for my journey ahead and the uncertainity of what God had planned. I laid in bed last night staring at the ceiling both excited and scared.

Today I had my first day of ministry led by our hosts and I knew it was where I was supposed to be. Let me tell you… the hearts of children are the same where ever you are. It was a blessing to sit with them, laugh with them, lift each one into the air to touch some wierd ball thing hanging from the ceiling, and experience their joy.

I am not sure what God has in store for me, my team, or our ministry but I am so excited to finally getting this opportunity!

Also now that I am on field I will be posting, hopefully, once a week so please subscribe to my blogs to get updates and Pictures and all the good, the bad, and everything in between!

Love all of you!
