This one is going to be full of ups and downs so hang on!

Outside of Baptisms, one of the best thing to happen is some excited news!

WE ARE LAUNCHING OVERSEAS!!!!!!!!

We are going to COSTA RICA!

When my Gap Year journey began back around March and April, there was no guarantee that this year’s World Race Squads would even launch. Even the decision to be in Gainesville, GA for the first three months seemed to defy the impossible feeling that it was going to fall through because of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

I can still remember when the Lord asked me if I would be willing to Squad Lead domestically, whether I was signing up to travel or disciple. I remember the moment I committed to the Squad more than the trip itself.

And I can say without a doubt this window of World Race participants felt the same way. They are committed to their journey with the Lord more than the opportunity to travel. They are bought into Jesus. Because the promise of anything more than Gainesville, GA could not be more than a hope.

Our Lord is sovereign and loving and I believe without a doubt that this is a blessing to the faithfulness of the those that chose in. It is not the Launch anyone of us planned. It’s halfway through our World Race and to a country that was not on our original route. But the excitement to be able to serve internationally is honestly just AWESOME!

And they are so ready! They are hungry to serve and see the Lord move in some awesome ways! I truly believe the whole GY group are the most prepared to head into overseas ministry.

We leave early January. Every precaution is being taken with Covid testing, quarantine plans, and too many emergency plans to count!

So I ask for prayers for protection. Protection over all the squads launching and that there would not be any surprises. That everyone would stay healthy and smart in the holiday coming up.

With that. Our time at the AIM base in Gainesville was cut short.

Because Covid-19 sucks.

With every precaution and safety measure taken, the smallest leak can cause the most trouble. Our squad had a breakout of Covid-19.

No, we can’t trace how or when it happened. All we know is that it happened. Everyone went into quarantine as many started showing symptoms a few days after leaving for Thanksgiving break. People tested negative going home only to test positive a few days later. So we all got tested and many came back positive… including myself.

Everyone is okay. No one had it too severely and people and their families are doing better. But to mitigate the chance of exposure to others the staff canceled the last two weeks of in-person meetings.

We moved everything to at-home online teaching and meetings. We did not want to risk the chance of not launching internationally so we spent a quarantine and a half at home!

Once again Covid
