LESS THAN 100 DAYS UNTIL I LAUNCH!!!!
So yesterday was the 100th day until my team and I launch for The Race! Why didn’t I post yesterday you ask? Well…..
a) I’m a chronic procrastinator, and I didn’t realize it was 100 days until I hopped on Facebook last night at 10:00 and saw my teammates posting about it.
b) I thought 99 would be cool to blog about because……
In Luke 15:4 Jesus speaks about leaving the 99 sheep to go after the 1 that is lost. He says there will be more rejoicing in Heaven over 1 person repenting of sin than 99 righteous persons who do not need to repent.
So in 99 days, I will be leaving the 99 in search of that 1. That one who is worried about where their next meal will come from. That 1 that wonders when their enslavement to sex trafficking will end. That 1 child who has no family or home. That 1 who is far from Christ but can be united with Jesus and know the love God has for them. I’m excited to encounter these beautiful people. To love on them and show them God’s love through me.
The time is flying by but I’m so amazed by how God is preparing me every single day. I’m so thankful that he has put so many supportive loved ones in my corner who have been encouraging me and motivating me every step of the way. I’m thankful for blogging because it allows me to share this experience and broadcast my love for Jesus and the excitement I have to go and serve Him. I’m thankful for fundraising because it allows me to share my news with people and gives people the opportunity to contribute to a greater cause and help make a difference.
Although I am over a third of the way there, I am still very far from my fundraising goal. With the 99 days upon me, I would love to see 99 people donate to my trip and help send me where God has called me to go. My next fundraising deadline is quickly approaching and I would like to be an overachiever and meet it super early! A donation of $20 or more by 99 people in the next few weeks would definitely get me to my 2nd goal!!
