Hello! I’m Carson, and welcome to my World Race blog! I’m so glad that you have made it here to follow me during this adventure that God has planned for me. Keep up with me through posts here!
My prayer is for you to be encouraged in your faith by my stories and experiences so you can grow deeper with the Lord. To all that have no idea who I am, here’s a little bit about me. I grew up all over the South. When people ask where I am from I always say that is a loaded question. I am orginially from Tennessee, but I have lived in Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Alabama briefly. However, I claim Mississippi as my home state. I have a degree in secondary education with a concentration in English and ESL from Mississippi State University. I am currently nannying and subbing at the schools where I live in Cookeville, TN.
Let’s see… I love teaching and working with students/people of all ages. I love college football, specifically in the SEC (Hail State y’all). I surprisingly like washing dishes; it’s relaxing to me. I really enjoy taking care of other people. The love languages that I receive best are words of affirmation, physical touch, and quality time. The love languages that I give best are physical touch, acts of service, and words of affirmation. I get hooked on t.v. shows pretty easily for example: The Mindy Project, New Girl, Dancing with the Stars (I’m not ashamed. I can’t dance at all so I live through others). I love a good cup of coffee and a heart to heart. I’m happiest when I’m with my family or doing some type of outdoor activity like running, camping, hiking, etc.
I’m one of five kids with an older brother (Addison, 27) a twin sister (Taylor, 24) a younger sister (Kennedy, 20) and a younger brother (Camden 16). My brothers and sisters are my best friends and biggest supporters along with my crazy, loving parents!

This is my beautiful, crazy family! From left to right: front: Papa and Yanni or Roger and Jan, Back: Taylor, Kennedy, Addison, Camden, and myself!

Abandonment. That’s a word that I am praying through and learning about right now. I’m about to abandon everything I know to serve around the world, leaving my family, friends, and comfortable life in the South. The Lord is teaching me how to abandon everything, take up my cross and follow Him to the ends of the earth. I am so thankful that I have a God who has modeled abandonment for me. I am thankful that I serve a God that is so big and so loving as He is patiently guiding me through this adventure called life. I am thankful that I serve a God that is replacing my fears, anxiety, and worries with His love, peace, and confidence in what is to come.
So here we go, let’s do this!
