I am overwhelmed by the texts, Facebook messages, blog views, donations, love, support, and prayers I have received over the past few months by people who are so excited about the adventure of the World Race that I am embarking on in September. To all of you who are following on this journey with me, thank you for loving me so well.

As you read my blog and follow my journey please know that I am not a writer by any means, but I will try my best to be as open and vulnerable as possible about this journey. This post is my attempt at putting some of my thoughts and prayers into words.
Life is so busy and crazy and in the past few months I have lost focus of why I am doing the World Race. So in my attempt to refocus on what is to come I came up with this list of 11 reasons why I am doing the World Race.
1. I am responsible for my brothers and sisters around the world and I want to serve and love them in all the ways that I can.
2. This life is not my own and I am obeying. We may not always know what we are called to do, but we are told to love others.
3. Everything in me resists this out of fear but, my heart desires it. I am scared of leaving my comfortable life and my family and friends. I am scared to go, but I’m even more scared of what my life looks like if I don’t go.
4. I want to experience the world by traveling and meeting people that are not like me. I want to be stretched, uncomfortable, challenged, and changed.
5. This is a way to love God by loving His people. This is a response to God’s unconditional love for me.
6. God gave me a heart and passion for people and I want to live that out.
7. I want God to break my heart for what breaks His.
8. With all I am I live to see His Kingdom come.
9. God has a purpose for my life that I can’t see.
10. That the Lord may be glorified in all that I say and do.
11. We never really know ourselves until we get to know people who are different from us.
Much love, Carson
