I’m doing something out of the ordinary. Something I never could have imagined for myself. It has always been my goal to attend law school, and over the summer I began touring schools and preparing for my life after graduation. Then over these last few months, something was holding me back. I kept hearing about this thing called the World Race, an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. An old friend of mine was going and I thought, “That’s so great for her, but I could never do it.” But thoughts of the Race kept popping up. I found myself pouring through the blogs of current racers and wondering what it would be like to really do this. At some point, it was time to take the thought of going seriously. I began praying and asking God to tell me how He wanted me to grow closer to Him. I can’t explain it any better than, I felt Him tell me to go. I heard the call to go do work and open myself up to the uncertainty of it all. If you know me, you know that I don’t talk a lot about my relationship with God and what He’s done in my life. So all of this might not make much sense and I hope to continue sharing as this journey continues. God has already brought me to and through some crazy places in my life and I believe that it’s time to start giving back. I know that I can’t do any of this on my own and I have to rely on the support of others. Sometimes that’s uncomfortable, but I want to push myself to be uncomfortable. I want to go to places in my relationship with God that I haven’t been before. I don’t want to have an exact plan for what my life should look like, because it’s really not up to me anyway. Life begins at the edge of your comfort zone and I’m going to go figure out what it’s like to live outside of it.

I’ll be leaving next year in October 2016 to serve in 11 different countries: India, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Botswana, South Africa, Swaziland, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, and Peru.

In choosing to do something out of the ordinary, I’m asking for the help and support of family and friends to do something I would not ordinarily ask. I want you all to be a part of my journey as I venture into the uncomfortable.

To participate in the World Race I need to raise $16,000 for the entire year. This will include my training, insurance, flights to 11 countries, meals and accommodation for the entirety of the trip.

I’d like to invite all of you who believe in this work to be a part of the journey. Most importantly I will need your support through prayer. You can also follow this blog CarsonSadro.TheWorldRace.org to keep updated on my World Race adventures.
