Hello Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you find my blog to be enjoyable and enlightening! If it’s not, I’m sorry and I’ll try harder.

But this is supposed to be introducing me to the outside world. So without further adieu,

HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIDE!

(sorry. Adele made me do it. If you sang that, comment below! You’re the bomb)

Anyways, My name is Carrington Nicole Herman. I am 19 years old and short. (my doctor told me I’m 5 exact but I think he just told me that to make me feel better about myself) I have a brother (Hunter) who is 54 weeks younger than I and two older sisters from our father’s first marriage. I live at home and have three dogs and two cats.  I attend Joliet Junior College and am a biology major. (I actually started off as an Early Childhood Education major but I don’t really know what happened to that) I sing, play guitar, and a little bit of piano. My brother actually made one of my guitars for me! I am also on the cheer and dance team at my college. My favorite color is cyan. I love gushers, popcorn, pretzels, and peanut butter. And my favorite animal is an elephant. Grey’s Anatomy and Vampire Diaries are life and I have no idea what I am going to do without them for nine months. (someone better keep me up to date) I love kids and babysit for a total of 13 families. Yes, that’s a lot. I know. But I love all of the families I babysit for and am going to miss them so much while going on The World Race Gap Year.

So why blog? What’s it for?

This is to inform you of my Gap Year trip to Thailand, Malawi, and Guatemala. You can subscribe to my blog to get updates when I post. (I promise not to spam you with puppies in sweaters) This will let you see first hand, the experiences I am going to have while on my mission trip. I leave in October for this wonderful nine month journey. I will be posting blogs from now until I get home to talk about Gap Year, to tell you how God is working in my life, and to tell/show you how God is working through my team and I while we are on the field.

I would truly appreciate your support. Your prayers are greatly welcomed. God has called together an amazing group of people for me to share this experience with. I ask that you would pray for my team and I while we are preparing for this trip and while we are away. We are doing God’s work, so it is a reasonable request. If you feel God calling you to support financially, there is a ‘Support Me’ button. I simply ask for you to give what you can. Every dollar counts.

Thank you for your time and support.

God Bless.
