Todays blog is a letter and poem written to my team from a guy named Clive. (Clive is from my carepoint)
(The first time I read this poem I had chills)
The Land We Call Home
Here is a gift from me to you
A piece of an african heart to take home with you.
This is the land of the rising sun
And the roar of the mighty lion.
Moutians tower above like skyscrapers.
This is the land of beauty and age old wisdom.
Words can never bruly depct or capture the esscesce of our beautifulland.
They call her the belly of Mother Nature, her very womb.
We don’t believe in leprechouns or Santa Clause
We believe in the breeze and in nature
As a devine whole, There is magic in it all.
This is the land we call home
In the evenings crickets play their voilins
And dogs howl away their violence,
Frogs play along with their bass guitars and trombones
Its a soulful natural orchestra to highten cerabounty
Setting to rest and awaking a new world under the black sky.
In our land the stars shine brighter
And the smiles are wider.
You got to witness first hand the purity of African laughter.
This is the land of hospitalibty.
Where truly we can’t leave anyone behind as were all family
Its how were raised, here a child is reared by society.
This is the land of cow milk and wild honey.
We still hunt for it
Its more for the thrill
Than the actual kill.
We are Africa, we’ll always be attached to our roots
Its who we are, what makes us strong and crude.
This is Africa, the land we call home
Your visits every year
Open our eyes to the beauty of our land
That we take for granted everyday.
We’re still untamed
By civillization and untainted.
We appreciate our presence,
To hear the beauty of our land spoken from an appreciative soul.
From my heart to your heart; Whateveryou came looking for
I hope the Divine Whole will give you even more
In this land we call home.
My name is Clive Muziwendoda Herbst and I wowuld like to personally appreciate your visits. Luckily I’m here way after you all return home and I witness the lasting impact you ladides leavebehind every year.
It’s really beautiful, some get inspired to do amazing things. It’s like they get these vibrations from you that juice them up. Some change their lives from then onwards it’s just magic to watch the change.
I honestly do see God at work through you, from boasting self esteems to inspiring them to be better. I’m here all year round and I barely make an impact so thank you very much for the angels you leave here with us.
May Jah make your paths straight, guide and protect until the day of His return. One Love! Blessings from the Holy Mountain of zion!
Also side note: I have a picture of Clive I would love to add but unfortunately it won’t load. I will post his picture in one of my picture blogs hopefully in the near future.
Until next time. Love and Miss y’all.
