So once there was a girl and her team that were working very hard in the hot sun. It was about to be lunchtime and everyone was stopping for a while in order to eat lunch. When they were about to leave in order to go and eat lunch, some of the most magical words were spoken… “This afternoon, we are not going to work, we are going to go to a pool instead. Everyone was so excited, but also a little confused.

After lunch, the group asked if they were going to go swimming now. The answer was yes. Wow! So excited! However, they were told there was no need to change into swimming suits, the clothes they were wearing to work were just fine to go in.

So all the team got into the back of a truck, so excited for the swimming. As they pulled up to a river, everyone wondered if the river was wear they were going to swimming; but the truck just drove straight through the river. Then the truck stopped at this street. The team got out and was instructed to walk down the road to the pool. The road was downhill and as the group walked, they saw the pool. It looked like a paradise. It was so blue and beautiful.

The girl was walking in the back of the team. As the team got closer, suddenly the people in the front began to laugh. Eventually the girl made it down the hill enough that she could see what the laughter was for. The beautiful blue of the pool was actually the sun shining off the bottom of the pool. There was absolutely no water in the pool. All she could do was laugh.

Yes this actually happened to our teams! It was so funny. Our pastor was really bringing us to go swimming, but her plans were ruined when we got there and realized that the pool was drained for cleaning. She thought we might be upset by the situation. However, we loved it. It ended up being one of my favorite times of ministry this month so far. We just jumped into the pool and started helping cleaning the pool with them.
