We arrived in Malaysia just a few days ago. The area we are in is a very religiously sensitive area. We are in the most restricted Islamic state in Malaysia. We have lots of restrictions on us, such as not even being able to tell people that we are missionaries. Our contact asked us to take the time to declare God's truths over the area.

The climb was lots of fun. Some areas were dark and muddy. Others were tight and a little scary to climb through. We had to climb rock walls, hike uphill, and even use ropes to climb up some areas.

When we made it to the top, it was definitely worth the climb. At the top, we declared that the city was going to be a city devoted to God and not Islam. From the top, we could pray openly and freely. We shouted declarations over the city in the name of Jesus our Savior.

On the whole, it was a well worth it trip. God is going to radically change this state for His Kingdom and I was able to be part of speaking that into being. However, there was one bump in my path off the mountain. At the top of the mountain, I jumped off a rock that was about a foot off the ground. I landing on a root that was hidden under leaves. I severely sprang my ankle and had to climb all the way down the mountain with a hurt ankle.

Pretty, isn't it? Through this, God has taught me two things. First, I have to slow down some times and allow people to help me. I am not able to do a lot of things and so my other teammates are helping me do things that I normally would have done on my own. We are all put here to help and serve each other. God never expects us to do it all on our own, that is why we are called to live in community and to fellowship with other believers. The other thing that God has shown me through this is that the enemy is sneaky. Often the things in life, that we struggle and stumble over are hidden from our sight in the time. We must be ready to take each step in life, up an down our mountains. We also must be anchored to Him and His Word. Even though, God does not desire for us to stumble, in life we will stumble and even fall. It hurts!!! But, if we keep our eyes on Him, then nothing can overtake us.
