Although I haven’t been blogging about it, there has been a lot going on lately – things that are moving me closer to the start of the traveling part of this mission.  While the mission truly began when I was accepted to World Race, each time I do something related to the trip it becomes more REAL.  11 months, 11 countries.

This is a brief update of what I’ve been doing:
 – Got shots and prescription for anti-malaria drugs
 – Bought ticket to training camp
 – Preparing to leave my home of the past 3+ years!  Getting rid of things, storing some of it, finding people to look after life while I’m away.  I’m moving out of my apartment at the end of March.  To save money I will technically be homeless.  Some friends have offered to take me in for a while here and there.  I’m trusting that God will provide.  After training camp I am not returning to Hawaii, but will be staying with my parents in New York for the month.

Current fundraisers:
 – Looking for people who will commit to giving $20 a month for 10 months
 – Shirts for sale!  $15 for t-shirts, $12 for tanks.
Lady’s shirts.  T-shirt is royal blue (darker than in this photo) with black writing.  Tank is baby blue with royal blue print.

The next picture is a close up of the design.  This is on the back of the guy’s shirt, but the design is the same for all shirts.

Guys shirt is gray with royal blue print.

Great MAHALO to this fellow who printed my shirts and agreed to model it for me 🙂 and also to current World Racer Beth Woods  http://brianandbethwoods.theworldrace.org. for her assistance with the design work.

Upcoming fundraisers:
 – Garage sale March 27th
 – Church lunch
 – Car wash
 – Krispy Kreme sale

Please join with me in prayer that God will continue to provide for this trip and for those I will be meeting along the way.  I love you all, God bless.
