Aloha!!!
My name is Carrie Miranda.  I am originally from New York State, but I have lived on Kauai (a tiny Hawaiian island) for the past 3 years.  I love everything about my island home from playing in the ocean and napping on the beach to hiking the remote parts of the island.  The beauty of God’s creation surrounds me here and I still find myself in awe of this place on a daily basis.

I did not grow up in a Christian home, but did attend a Christian school from kindergarten until 2nd grade.  I remember accepting Christ at that time, but since my family was not Christian once I changed schools I quickly lost touch with God.  At 29 I returned to Christ and have had a growing relationship with him since.

I presently work with autistic children as a skills trainer and tutor in math at the local high school.  I have always had an interest in helping others.  I have a master’s degree in social work and have worked in a number of settings.  I cannot recall at time in my life when I did not have deep care and concern for my fellow humans.  I saw so many needs and at times would be overwhelmed knowing no matter what I did it would never be enough.  Now God has called me to follow.  I rest in knowing that Christ has a plan.  He is the healer, I am merely a tool in his hands.  “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Phillipians 4:13

I am so excited to see where the jouney leads.
