So.
My last blog was entitled “not feeling amazing” and it really had to do less with feeling amazing than the title seemed to state.
I have been really loving each place we’ve been at, and each place has confirmed all God’s been teaching, showing, and encouraging me in as we have been traveling along the way.
It’s been super good! Seriously.
Just, we all have those moments when we’re tired and feel like life is so normal – and what amazing thing could I possibly share!?
Do you know what I mean?
Plus…community drama. You know? How much more hard could it get to share.
Anyway.
Today’s blog will be part of a series on my team.
Each blog will have a little blurb about what we have been up to – but I wanted to try and give you some context to my everyday life with these 9 other people.

Lauren is not afraid to talk about all things.
She is generally the first one awake in the morning preparing the food we need to take with us for the day – and often the last to bed as she goes out shopping after ministry, comes home and puts all the food away.
She is selfless, and not afraid to call BS when she sees it.
She is not a complainer, she loves the Lord with a sweat while praying love, and she keeps her word – all of them.
Lauren loves to play games, she loves to eat healthy, and knows how to treat others the way she wants to be treated.
She seeks people out when something is wrong with them and listens.
She is not afraid to ask for what she needs and she keeps her accounts short and clean.
Lauren is one, if not thee most trustworthy person on our team!
Also, when Lauren get’s excited – the room gets static with it. Her giggle would put a four year old girl getting her dream barbie unicorn for Christmas to shame.
.
This past week we came to Houston Texas to work alongside Keystone Project ministry who lives and works among the large refugee community population here.
We fill the first half of the day with discipleship training and in the evening go out with the missionaries who live here and reach out to the people in their homes and neighborhoods.
It could be short interactions, or long evenings of conversation and dinner, or simply prayer for or over them.
I spent my time with 2 of my team members and L—- who took us to meet some of her Burmese women disciples. Most of them could not speak much – if any – English and their children translated the conversation.
It was really neat to see how much time and effort had been intentionally put into the families and the surrounding community.
One night we spent an hour in prayer over the work God was doing and how we/they could join in that with wisdom and discernment.
I have been super encouraged – but find myself super tired at the same time.
Please pray for my team, as we head off next to Lake Charles LA, Katy TX, Austin TX – and then on to Fort Worth. We will be working with foster children, neighborhood outreach, university ministry, and so much more!
