Sometimes when i wake up in the morning i open my worldrace page and check my finances.
Why?
Because inside me there is an excitement about what God is doing.
I don’t really see an impact on my everyday life with fundraising, since there are finance and logistics people who buy my plane, bus, and taxi rides, and who pay the money for our food and lodging. So i don’t actually see or touch the money, but to wake up and pretty much every morning see God using you (my financial partners) to provide for my needs is both encouraging and hope inducing.
So, from that place of gratitude and hope, i would like to share a request.
Sometimes there are days where we have the option to do something, like go see an historic place, or go have some authentic food. Or we just end up going to a market and theres something to try or something i’d like to buy. But honestly, i don’t have the finances to do those things.
Meaning i can eat the food cooked for us during ministry days, or at our hosts house, and i can travel with the team on ministry days (5days a week) cause my ministry money covers that. But when i have a day off if i have bus money to go anywhere i am not given money to do anything. I have to pay for off days myself.
And if i don’t have bus money i literally can’t go anywhere.
Sometimes my teammates are generous and pay for me, or share something they bought that id like to try with me. But its not the same as having money to do stuff myself.
I was thinking about how i need to step out and share more of what’s going on with me, so i’m writing this blog.
And i’m wondering if there’s someone that’s reading, that isn’t a monthly supporter, that would like to provide a little money each month for me to do extra things that my fundraising (ministry support) doesn’t cover.
We will be going to asia soon and i know there will be even more things i’d like to join in that i won’t be able to without someones generosity.
Honestly even $20 a month would be amazing!
When i started the race i had about $100 spending cash for this year, so i thought that i could just use $10 a month. But unfortunately since south america is really expensive, and although i haven’t really done much and have tried to avoid spending my money: bus rides to see a few places, a special tea straw i bought for about $3, korean food once with a few of my team members, food for our 55hour bus ride, and blessing our ministry host has used most of my spending money.
So this is a sharing my needs blog.
If you’d like to provide for me in this way please email me at [email protected], and i will tell you where you can send the money/check 🙂 any donated money through my world race donations cannot be spent on my personal free time activities or needs. So i’d have to recieve the money through paypal, check, or electronic transfer 🙂
God bless you!
